The Syracuse Orange represent Syracuse University, which was founded in 1870 and is located in Syracuse, New York. The university’s official color is orange, symbolizing school pride and tradition. The Orange compete in various sports, with their football team playing at the JMA Wireless Dome, commonly known as “The Dome”, while the basketball team also competes in the same venue, making it one of the largest home courts in college basketball. Syracuse’s athletic programs are best known for their storied basketball tradition, with the men’s basketball team winning a national championship in 2003 under legendary coach Jim Boeheim. The team’s mascot is Otto the Orange, a beloved and energetic figure at games. Their devoted fans proudly chant “Let’s Go Orange!” and embrace the school’s fierce spirit and history.
